Founded in 1895, Sydenham Cricket Club is one of Canterbury’s longest-standing and most successful community cricket clubs. Based at Sydenham Park, we’re home to more than 330 players across senior, youth, and junior grades — making us one of the largest and most active cricket communities in the South Island.

Our focus is simple: grow the game, develop players, and create an environment where every cricketer can belong.
From Premier and Championship squads competing at the highest club level, through to social and development teams, every member is supported with quality coaching, organised structures, and a strong club culture.

We’re proud to offer some of Christchurch’s best cricket facilities, including our indoor four-lane training centre, high-quality outdoor nets, and well-maintained grounds that cater to play at all levels. Match reports, livestreams, and regular updates keep the wider community connected throughout the season.

Sydenham’s strength comes from its people — the volunteers, parents, coaches, supporters, and generations of players who continue to push the club forward. Whether you’re picking up a bat for the first time or chasing higher honours, Sydenham provides the platform to develop, compete, and enjoy the game.
